🐰🐰   Journey Wisely: Moving with the Light of Spring

“The sun will rise and set regardless. What we choose to do with the light while it's here is up to us. Journey wisely.” – Alexandra Elle

The only constant is change...

There’s a quiet, comforting truth in the rhythm of the sun. No matter the storms we’ve weathered—internally or out in the world—the sun keeps rising, keeps setting, and returns again. But as Alexandra Elle reminds us, it’s not just that the light exists—it’s what we choose to do with it that matters.

Right now, we’re in the tender stretch of Spring. The days are getting longer, the air a little warmer. Trees are waking up, flowers are finding their courage, and so are we. There's something symbolic about Spring’s return—it always whispers: begin again.

It’s also a season of transitions. For students and educators, the semester is winding down. Assignments are being wrapped up, classrooms are being packed away, and the energy begins to shift from routine to reflection. Graduation caps are tossed into the air as one chapter closes and another begins. It's exciting. It's scary. It's sacred.

In therapy, we often talk about the space between things—the in-between of what was and what’s not yet. This is where most transformation happens, but it’s also where we’re the most tender. It’s tempting to rush through it, to skip the pause and leap straight into the next thing. But this moment—this light—is valuable.

This season asks us to slow down enough to feel it. To recognize the growth that’s taken root, even when it was quiet. To acknowledge the endings—not just with sadness, but with gratitude. And to greet the beginnings not with pressure to have it all figured out, but with curiosity.

Whether you're graduating, changing paths, finishing a season of your life, or simply noticing that you're not the same person you were a few months ago—you are in a transition. And that deserves to be honored.

So let this be your reminder: The sun will continue to rise and set. That’s not up to you. But how you greet the morning, how you honor the dusk, how you move through this season of light—that part is yours.

Ask yourself gently:
What is Spring inviting me into?
What do I want to carry forward?
What can I finally let go of?

This is your time to step into the light with intention. Not perfectly, not all at once, but with heart.

Journey wisely.

I'm grateful to know you and I thank you for letting me be a part of your journey.  Please let me know if there is anything more I can be doing to support you.
